Why do you call Me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say? (Luke 6:46)

Whatever we do, we must not treat the Great Commission like it's the Great Suggestion.

A few nights after his conversion he asked how long this Gospel had been known in England. He was told that we had known it for some hundreds of years.What! said he, amazed; is it possible that for hundreds of years you have had the knowledge of those glad tidings in your possession, and yet have only now come to preach it to us? My father sought after the Truth for more than twenty years, and died without finding it. Oh, why did you not come sooner?

If I had my way, I would declare a moratorium on public preaching of 'the plan of salvation' in America for one to two years. Then I would call on everyone who has use of the airwaves and the pulpits to preach the holiness of God, the righteousness of God, and the Law of God until sinners would cry out, 'What must we do to be saved? Then I would take them off in a corner and whisper the gospel to them. Don't use John 3:16. Such drastic action is needed because we have a gospel hardened generation of sinners by telling them how to be saved before they have any understanding why they need to be saved.

What we have to share that's most powerful is what God has done for us.

Witnessing is not a spare-time occupation or a once-a-week activity. It must be a quality of life. You don't go witnessing, you are a witness.

The way from God to a human heart is through a human heart.

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.

People can see when you've got good news.

Witnessing is one beggar telling another beggar where to find food.
